Shell distributors country wide have been growing in importance and value offering to Shell South Africa. Having recognised the value that distributors would be able to bring to Shell customers, through proximity to customers, flexibility in service and competitive positioning, Shell devised the Branded Distributor concept in order to boost this potential and tap into a service level available to customers previously unseen in the fuel industry.
After a thorough assessment of all existing distributors across South Africa, Shell selected 8 of these distributors as premium distributors to partake in the Shell Branded Distributor initiative. The selection of such distributors was based many facets of the various businesses but most importantly existing service levels, success and reputation in the market, ethical values and beliefs, commitment to transformation, ever strong and present HSSE standards and commitment to the environment as well as strong sense of customer service and reliable delivery standards.
